— 1 John 4:19 (NKJV)
This verse is a powerful reminder that love begins with God. Our ability to love others is not something we generate on our own; it is a response to the overwhelming love that God has already shown us through Christ.
Earlier in his letter, John writes:
"If God so loved us, we also ought to love one another."
— 1 John 4:11
As followers of Christ, we walk with God by reflecting His love through our actions, our fellowship, and our commitment to one another. Love is the evidence of God’s presence in our lives, and it is the foundation of our brotherhood and service.
If it has been some time since you joined us, I warmly encourage you to reconnect. Your presence matters, and you are an important part of this community.
Our next Stated Conclave will be held on February 23, 2026, and we would be honored to have you with us.

I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that your Commandery is in great financial health. Over the past several years, we have worked to save money where we could and have even started to get some fundraising done.
Laster this year, we will be undertaking a fundraiser for the purposes of supporting our State Champion Drill Team. When we get that fundraiser set up, we will let you know. If you are able to help spread the word and raise some funds for our drill team, it will be greatly appreciated!

A Moment with the Prelate

In the Gospel of St. John, our Lord declares: “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” We are reminded of these words in the Prelate lecture of the Order of the Temple. These words speak directly to the heart of Christian faith and to the vows we uphold as Knights Templar.
Spoken at the tomb of Lazarus, this declaration reveals that Christ is not merely the giver of resurrection, but its very source. Martha looked toward a future resurrection; Christ redirected her faith to Himself in the present. Eternal life is found not in an event, but in a living relationship with Him.
For Knights Templar, John 11:25 affirms that our Order is grounded in faith in the risen Savior. Our work is more than ceremonial; it is a calling to live out that resurrection life through faithfulness, charity, and upright conduct. The symbolism of death and renewal in our journey reminds us that earthly trials are not the end, and that fidelity to God is never without reward.
The promise that “though he were dead, yet shall he live” offers comfort, courage, and hope. It challenges us to live as men who truly believe; defending what is right, showing mercy, and remaining steadfast in our Christian obligations.
In a world of uncertainty, this verse stands as a banner of assurance. May we, as members of this Commandery, draw strength from Christ’s promise and faithfully serve Him who is both Resurrection and Life.
